Groundbreaking of the 50MW Long An Europlast solar power plant
Morning 21/9, Europlast Long An Solar Corporation (EUP) held the ground-breaking ceremony of Europlast Solar Power Plant Project in My Thanh Bac Commune, Duc Hue District, Long An Province.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee – Nguyen Van Duoc congratulated investors on implementing the project in the province. This is one of the first projects implemented in the province in accordance with the policy of the Government using clean energy, renewable energy, minimizing environmental pollution. He suggested investors focus on construction resources on schedule, according to the technical design approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Europlast Long An Solar Power Plant project is the first solar project of EUP deployed in Long An province by the European Plastics Joint Stock Company with the total investment of 1.157 billion. Accordingly, the plant has a capacity of 50MW, built on an area of 58.6ha. The plant is expected to complete and generate electricity before June 2019, directly connected with the national power system.
General Director of European Plastics Joint Stock Company, Chairman of EUP- Hoang Quoc Huy said: “We determined that the Europlast Long An solar power plant project is an important project in 2018 of the Plastic Company. Europe. At the same time, after the operation, the Europlast Long An solar power plant in the future will contribute significantly to the national grid. ”
Europlast solar power plant project is the second project started in Long An province. Earlier, the Bong Duong Energy Joint Stock Company kicked off a solar power plant in Thanh An commune, Thanh Hoa district.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee – Nguyen Van Du said, Long An planning 5 solar power center. In particular, Duc Hue district has three centers, Thanh Hoa and Tan Thanh each district. When solar power plants are put into operation, they contribute to increasing the electricity source for the national grid.
